Sent in to bat first, Champs' openers Ankith (23 off 19) and Gaganjot (21 off 17) led a solid platform with fifty plus partnership within 5 overs. Tigers crawled back into the game with excellent fielding effort which induced 3 run outs. Sneh was pick of the Champs batsman who smashed 43 runs off just 28 deliveries including 4 sixes and 3 fours. Sagar and Sanjay were pick of the bowlers taking 2 wickets each and were well supported by JB and Kartik (1 wicket each).
Chasing 128 to win, Trojan Tigers were in a comfortable position scoring 60 off first 7 overs, thanks to the duo of Rohan and Bhumik who once again showed their masterclass to keep the required run rate under control. Tigers' middle order collapsed after the wicket off Rohan and Champs could sniff victory with Tigers requiring another 41 runs off last 3 overs. Needing 23 off last over, Tigers got to a perfect start with Abhijat (12 off 4 balls) smashing 6 of the first ball, 4 of the second and a no ball plus single of the next delivery. Bhumik then chased down the remaining runs with a 6, followed by 4 and Trojan Tigers won the match by 4 wickets with just 2 balls to spare.
Bhumik Patel was declared Man of the Match for his 49* off 34 deliveries.
Trojan Tigers topped the group after the first round of Cromwell Premier League.
