Cardinal Knights won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a bad start for Cardinal Knights as they lost their opener Prayut Patel in the second over of the match. Raghav Madan was playing some good shots but he was unlucky as he got run-out in his second consecutive match. Vaibhav Oberoi andPrateek Rohela steadied the innings but they were not able to capitalize to their good partnership as Vaibhav got run-out in a mix-up between him and Prateek. Rana Aijaz played some good shots to increase the run rate. Veteran Rana Aijaz continued his good form and played some delightful shots .He scored 39 off 28 balls. Cardinal knights lower order batsmenSumedh Deshpande and PaRas Arora played sensibly and took the total to 130 in their quota of 15 overs . Srushti Khairnar and Anshita Jagotaremained calm in the girl over when Audrey Moore was bowling wides and it ensured that Cardinal knights post a decent total of 138.The battle between Rana and Gaurav was the main attraction of 1st innings.
Gaurav Mathur was the pick of the bowlers for Trojan Tigers.
Chasing a target of 139. Trojan Tigers started their innings with Mounik andMir Anwar Ali. Prateek Rohela started the bowling for cardinal knights. It was a dream start for Cardinal Knights as he bowled a double-wicket maiden. Prateek Rohela bowled brilliantly and picked up 4 wickets . Swapneel Dabholkar and Gaurav brought Trojan tigers back into the match. Swapneel got run-out to a brilliant fielding by Prayut Patel. Anshita Jagota bowled brilliantly and got the wicket of Audrey Moore who is capable of doing some real damage. Pradyu Rock got the wicket of Navjot Singh. The Match was evenly poised as Trojan tigers needed 33 runs in last 2 overs with Gaurav at one end .Vaibhav bowled a good over but some brilliant batting by mathur ensured that they got 17 runs in that over. It all came down to the last over as Trojan Tigers needed 16 off 6 balls. Gaurav hit the second ball out of the park for a magnificent six but Prayut kept his cool and came back strongly. Gaurav's valiant effort of 55 runs went in vain as Cardinal won the match by 7 runs.
Prateek Rohela was declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
