Marshall Sixers vs Viterbi Vultures match report

Viterbi Vultures won the toss and elected to field first. Despite losing an early wicket to a run out, Marshall Sixers batsman, Sai Charan, took on the bowling with a quick-fire 43 of 20 deliveries before he was called back into the dugout by his captain. He was ably supported by Denver Bopaiah at the other end. After the departure of Denver and Ashish Relan, the runs started to dry up. Yatin Wadhwani was the pick of the bowlers for the Vultures, giving away just 8 runs in 3 overs, while Sohan Shetty was among the wickets. Shaunak Chheda played a nice little cameo of 21(10) to get his team to a total of 147 in 15 overs.
Viterbi Vultures had a steady start with the bat. Sahil and Muthu gave them a decent start, but the first wicket came in the form of a catch to Shaunak off Faraaz’s bowling. After having lost 2 quick wickets, Muthu 24(18) and Yatin32(20) played really well to keep VV in the game. But that didn’t last for too long as they were dismissed by Pranav and Faizan respectively. The middle and lower order of the Vultures succumbed to some disciplined bowling by Marshall Sixers which resulted in their final score of 120 all out. Mohammad Faizan was the pick of the bowlers having taken 3 wickets, with Charan, Pranav and Faraaz claiming 2 wickets each.
Sai Charan was declared the man of the match for his all round performance.
