After winning a crucial toss, Annenberg Avengers captain, Charan Kilarichose to bowl first. The decision to bowl first could not have gone better after the Volt's captain Anurath Gupta was run out in the very first over by a direct hit from Abhay Patil. This big early wicket, set the Volt's on a defensive mode and very soon, the other opener Vedant Jain (4) got out nicking the ball to the keeper. Mohammed Saadiq (23) and Asang Mehta(11) played some good looking shots and tried to stabilise the innings by rotating the strike. Unfortunately, Asang was caught few inches from the boundary by Ashish Relan who took an outstanding catch. In the very next over, Saadiq missed on a full length delivery from Jeet Mody and was out Bowled. Avengers were now completely in control and were eyeing to close the Volt's innings to a low score. Faisal Mallick and Ashish Relan bowled some good spells in between not letting the Volt's take away easy runs. Rishab Tyagi (28) kept the volt's innings moving but he didn't receive much help from his other batting partners and Viterbi Volts ended up scoring 107-8 in the 18 overs. Pick of the bowlers for Annenberg Avengers were Faisal Mallick (4-0-32-3) , Jeet Mody (3-0-20-2) and Charan Kilari (4-0-15-1).

Chasing a low score of 108, Annenberg Avengers openers Charan Kilari(48) and Abhay Patil (41) came out confident and were watchful in their approach and accordingly picked their shots on the merit of the ball. Volt's opening bowlers Yathin Wadhawan and Rishab Tyagi started with a tight spell, without giving any loose balls for the batsmen to put away. Then Abhay Patil took over the attack on Viterbi volts bowlers and scored two sixes of Anurath Gupta in a single over and also kept the momentum going without missing out on easy singles. Then, Mohammed Saadiq was introduced into the attack with some fierce pace and the very first over was a maiden from him. Soon, Avenger's captain Charan Kilari joined the party with Abhay Patil and scored some quick boundaries taking the game away from Viterbi Volts. Saadiq came in strong by picking up the wickets of charan kilari and Faisal Mallick in the same over, but it was too late for the Volt's and Abhay made sure he took the Avengers Home.
