The Knights skipper, Vaibhav Oberoi, won the toss and elected to bat first in their second game of the season. Openers, Sushil Premjani (20) and Denver Bopaiah (53), came into start proceedings and gave the Knights a rock solid start. Sneh Kishen and Swapneel Dabholkar gave their best to break the opening stand but after a few steady over, runs slowly began to flourish for the Knights. It was Faizan Mohammed who got the first breakthrough for the Tigers as Sushil Premjani had to depart following his entertaining innings. One wicket saw the fall of two more as the bowling combo of Ravindra Jain, Faizan Mohammed and Ankit Sultania pulled the match balance back in favor of the Tigers. Gaurav Mathur (8) and Vaibhav Oberoi (8) provided some resistance along with Denver but once the trio fell, it looked all but done for the innings of the Knights. Sagar Patel (19) and rookie, Abhishek Prakash (16), then took up immense responsibility for the side and provided a partnership that propelled the Knights from a substandard score to an above par score. Contributions from Jay Patel (5), Eshwar Laxmi (7) and Mayur Shah (5) in less than run-a-ball saw the Knights reach a fighting total of 163.

A daunting, yet achievable total, for the Tigers looked ahead as openers, Muthu Rajendran and Aditya Shah started proceedings for the Tigers. Adnan Ali (26) then started an incredible fightback as his quick fire innings of 16 balls along with Shashi Kiran Yellapa (28) boosted the Tigers on par with the required run rate. Runs started to flow for the Tigers but Abhishek Prakash came to put a hold on the party by bagging the prized wicket of Adnan Ali. Shashi along with Ankit Sultania (14) kept the run rate accelerating but skipper, Vaibhav Oberoi, held the brakes on the innings with an important wicket of Ankit Sultania. Sharath Chintalapudi (11) and skipper, Swapneel Dabholkar (17) provided a few mighty blows but was not enough as wickets started to fall at a quick rate to shift the match balance entirely to the Knights.
