Volts skipper, Rishabh Tyagi, won the toss and elected to bat first.
Openers, Nitesh (1) and Rohan (5), started proceedings for the Volts but their innings were cut short by the Knights as opening bowler Sai Krishnan Tarun rattled their stumps early on. With early wickets fallen, the Volts skipper, Rishabh Tyagi (52), took responsibility upon him and paced the innings till the end. He was assisted by Akshay Yogendra (18) in a partnership that would see their innings through to the final overs. With boundaries now flowing at regular intervals, the Volts innings seemed to have stabilized. Vidyadhara Rao K provided the Knights with the crucial breakthrough as this brought a mini-collapse towards the end for the Volts. Rishabh Tyagi played some excellent shots towards the end to steer the Volts to a total of 127 at the end of their allotted 17 overs.

With a tricky total to chase down, Chetan Setty (23) along with the Knights skipper Denver Bopaiah (8) started proceedings. The pair put on a decent opening start for the Knights until back-to-back wickets saw the Volts sitting in the front seat of the game. Vidhyadhar Rao (6) and Chetan continued a partnership that would see the Knights just catch-up to the required run rate. As Chetan fell to an excellent catch by the keeper, Vedant Jain, the game was well poised between the two sides. Ankit Sultania (21) came in and played a few big shots to relieve the pressure in the Knights dugout, but as Vidhydhara's wicket fell, the game set itself for a big finale. Sai Krishnan Tarun (13) and Ankit Sultania continued their partnership thereafter and drove the Knights to an absorbing position of 11 runs needed off the final over. With the help of extras and a couple of big shots from the pair, the Knights were propelled to their target of 128 with two balls to spare.
