Kings XI punjab won the toss and elected to Bat first. They went on their regular openers Chirag and Ankit . KXIP lost their opener in the very first over but this wasn't the end. Rohan came out and batted with great temperament and scored 23 runs. On the other end was Ankit, the man of the match, who was also looking in great form. Both these batsmen batted quite well and gave Punjab a healthy start. Rohan lost his wicket to Sohil and Sagar came in, who hit some great shots scoring 20 runs off just 9 balls. With Ankit on the other end hitting massive sixes,scoring 86 runs off just 45 balls, Punjab did not have to do a lot. After Sagar and Ankit, Shubham and Abhinav ended up not out leading Punjab to a nice total of 173/4.

Delhi Daredevils were missing their opener Gaganjot and started with Sohil and Aditya. Starting with a six Aditya lost his wicket. After that they kept on losing wickets with Sohil still on the field hitting some shots and getting some runs on the scoreboard. Excellent bowling performance by the Punjab bowlers including Simit, Kaushal, Arjun and the experienced Abhinav didnt allow Daredevils to recover. Guriqbal came in, hit some sixes, trying to rescue the team. But then he also threw his wicket to a clever one from Shubham. This was almost the end for Delhi as they ended up scoring 99/8 in the 15 overs. Punjab won the match by 74 runs.
