Mumbai openers mixed caution with agression and got their team to a good start before Vaibhav was dismissed unluckily out Hitwicket off Tarun. KKR bowlers bowled good lines and Mumbai batsmen found difficult to keep the run rate up. Thanks to some poor fielding and some good batting in the end by Aashish and Pankaj, Mumbai finished with a competitive 111 in their alloted 15 overs.
KKR opened their batting with Tarun and Dushyant and were off to a reasonably decent start with scorecard reading 32 for 1 in after 4 overs with Tarun and Vikas batting well for KKR. Both of them got out in quick succession and Ankur and Sushil stabalized the innings for KKR. KKR were 65 for 3 after 8 overs and needed 47 to win of last 7 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Its than Mumbai introduced Pankaj into attack and he quickly broke the partnership and dismissed Sushil and Ankur in quick succession. None of the batsmen after that could keep the scorecard ticking and from what looked a proable KKR win resulted in a comfortable victory for Mumbai Indians.
Pankaj Sikka was adjudged Man of Match for his awesome all round performance.
