What followed next was an amazing display of attacking strokemaking by Abhimanyu Rajp (95 off 43) and along with Ankur Saxena (40 off 25) both added 110 Runs for 3rd wicket in 9 overs. Abhimanyu's brilliant knock helped KKR post the highest total of the season and KKR ended up in what looked like a winning score of 187.
Lahore started cautiously and were 32/1 in first 4 overs. But Fahad and Sadiq quickly changed gears and with their attacking strokeplay , kept Lahore in the game. Lahore lost Fahad and Sadiq in quick succession and still needed 54 in last 4 overs. Kaumail and Ibrar batted brilliantly to keep Lahore on course and Ibrar was run out in the 14th over leaving Lahore still 14 short of victory with 1 over left.
Lahore needed 13 off 5 balls when KKR fielding with 9 men conceeded 5 wides which relieved the pressure for Lahore. 8 were needed of last 4 balls and Lahore won with 2 balls to spare with Kaumail hitting the winning runs with a six.
Abhimanyu Rajp's knock of 95 earned him man of the match but it wasnt enough to win the game.
